Learning Challenges for Spring Term 1:
What was Atherton like 50 Years ago?
Why do we need to grow up?
What is Easter really about?
Year 2T Spring 1
Great start to 2019! In maths we have been exploring division and multiplication. In English we have been presenters and created our own non- chronological report based on our topic of Mumbai, India. Our Geography topic took us to the brilliant Rama Spice where we sampled the delights of India, it was fantastic and we all enjoyed! As scientists we have been looking at growing up and our PSHE topic has also fed into this, allowing us to interview Mrs Barnes about life with her baby, Oliver. Well done, Y2T!
Year 2T Autumn Term 2018
Well, what a start to Year 2! In English we have been writing our own Twisted Fairy tales, explanation texts and even had our poems judged by a poet! In maths we have been looking at addition, subtraction and money with plenty of work on our skills of problem solving and reasoning. As scientists we have investigated why animals need to live in certain habitats and how they survive in that habitat. We have had a visitor from Manchester Zoology who brought in some animals for us to look at and we learned a great deal! Of course we cannot forget our amazing nativity 'Midwife Crisis' which all the children worked extremely hard on. Well done, Year 2T Superstars on your first term :)
