Welcome to Year 5H! I am Miss Houghton and I am very excited to be your class teacher this year. In Y5H we are lucky enough to also have Miss Jones and Mrs Cooney working with us.
Throughout Autumn One we will be discovering answers to these key questions:
History - Why did the ancient Maya change the way they lived?
Science - What if the Earth stopped spinning?
RE - What do Holy Books teach us?
In Maths we will be starting the year building on our place value and calculation knowledge from previous years. We are beginning our English lessons with poetry - studying The Highwayman! In Computing we will be developing our coding skills and in Art we will be creating some fabulous Mayan masks.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
