Welcome to Year 4A!

I am Mr Aadahl and I am delighted to be your class teacher this year. In Year 4A this year we are also very fortunate to have Mrs Cartwright working in our class. Welcome to our class webpage. On here you should be able to find everything you need to know about Year 4. Throughout the year we will also be adding pictures and videos, so you can see what we have been getting up to. We have an exciting year ahead of us and we are looking forward to working with you all.

Mr Aadahl

This half term we will be exploring the Ancient Egyptians. We will also be looking at our digestive system to find out what happens to our food once we swallow it.

Things to remember in Year 4

P.E.

In Year 4 we will do P.E. on Mondays and Thursdays. We do ask that you leave P.E. kits in school and we will ensure that they are sent home each half-term to be washed. This half term we will be doing Skills Sessions(Mondays) and Invasion Games (Thursdays). Please remember that we have an outdoor P.E. kit. (black tracksuit pants or leggings, white polo top or t-shirt, plain black hooded top and trainers), which you will require on Thursdays.

Homework

In Year 4 your homework will involve:

  • Daily reading
  • Weekly Spellings
  • Multiplication facts (including division facts)
  • English HWK

Our reading books will be changed on Mondays. You should bring your planners and reading books to school everyday. Please also read at least 5 pages every night. This year we are also lucky to have access to the 'Bug Club'. You can use your individual login to access reading books online.
