What is Science?
Science stimulates and excites pupils’ curiosity about phenomena and events in the world around them. Science at St Philip’s is about children developing this sense of enquiry and extending their knowledge and understanding of the world and their surroundings. This is built up through direct practical experiences involving experimental testing, investigating and evaluating, leading, through enquiry, to critical and creative thought. They learn to question and discuss science-based issues that may affect their own lives, the direction of society and the future of the world.
